The great and the good of the world’s advertising community descended on the South of France last week for Cannes Lions 2018. Notionally there to attend the creative awards and definitely not to socialise at the myriad of exciting events or, heaven-forbid, to do any sunbathing. The true masters of the ad universe were able to watch Harry Kane, sorry England at The World Cup in complete comfort at the rooftop lounge of the Martinez Hotel.
Hosted superbly by MediaCom, every kick from Russia was shown with love by Esprit Digital on a 7 square metre, 4.6mm pitch, full outdoor InfiLed display. The screen was a huge success with many of the cognoscenti commenting that they had never seen such a clear picture in direct sunlight before.
